HUANG-TSUNG 685 - 762 Chinese Emperor Huang-tsung (also Xuanzong) was a powerful emperor of the Tang dynasty. His reign was the longest during the Tang Dynasty (712-756). He built an extensive canal network and Tang China reached its greatest prosperity and power.
Under him the famous Han-lin academy in Chang-an was established and the first newspaper in the world printed.

After his death a period of neglect and rebellion followed and the Tang
