BORIS 828 - 907 King of Bulgaria Boris I or sometimes Boris-Michael, also known as Bogoris was the ruler of Bulgaria 852-889. At the time of his babptism in 864, Boris was named after his godfather, emperor Michael III.
King Boris established greater Bulgaria between Rome and Byzanz.
He established a national culture in his kingdom and introduced
the Cyrillic alphabet still in use today.
