KALIDASA c.353 - c.420 Indian Poet Kalidasa wrote poems of epic proportions for music and dance and he is regarded as the most outstanding writer of classical Sanskrit. He resided at the court of the Gupta king Chandra Gupta II in Pataliputra (Patna). His most famous drama 'Sakuntala Recognized' contains some of the most beautiful poetry in world literature. |
