SCOTUS 1265 - 1308 Scottish Philosopher John Duns Scotus studied at the Franciscan school at Oxford. He taught theology in Paris and wrote on Aristotelian logic. Duns Scotus developed a meta-physical system that was compatible with Christian doctrine and a theology that stressed both divine and human will. His theology was followed be many Catholic theologians until the 18th century. |
